      I consider myself something of a "beef jerky aficionado." My very first intro to it was "thick cut jerky" (aka "dried beef") via a company in LaGrange, TX that is sadly no longer in business. I got a catalog for NB Smokehouse randomly in the mail, saw they had dried beef, and decided to give it a shot. OH MY GOD. my world changed with the first taste and I am now a lifelong fan!
